Whitton Tennis Club
Whitton Tennis Club has been an important part of Whitton since 1938. Originally, members played on ‘shale courts’, with a very old wooden pavilion and a corrugated metal roof. However, the members have worked hard over the years to transform the club into a modern facility.
Social Play
At the heart of the club is social tennis. There are sessions at the weekends and mid-week and all are a superb way to playing tennis.
Coaching
Simon Lazenby, a highly qualified coach offers coaching for a wide range of age groups and standards from tiny tots to adult team players. These sessions use a combination of the LTA Mini Tennis Awards for the 10 and unders. As well as the revolutionary TETAFEMA coaching methods from the RPT Spanish coaching system. Group and individual lessons are available.
Competitive Tennis
Plus, the club hosts tournaments and friendly competitions throughout the year as well as competing in Middlesex Tennis League. The highlight of the year culminates over a weekend early in September when it’s finals day of the club’s championships. After the trophies have been awarded, members enjoy a BBQ!
Membership
Whether you’re a junior, family or adult, Whitton Tennis Club offers a membership option for you. In addition, visitors are welcome at the club for a small fee.
Extras
