Western Health and Racquets Club
In the heart of Glasgow’s West End, the Western Health and Racquets Club is the ideal place for everyone to play sport, get fit and have a good time. With a superb year round programme, regardless of your age or ability, you’ll enjoy playing tennis at Western Health.
Social Play
If you’re aim is to play more tennis, then the best way to start is to join in at a social tennis session. Members meet on Thursday and Sunday nights for fun doubles games. Plus families are encouraged to play every Sunday afternoon. Members can also hire courts for their own use.
Coaching
Whether you are a beginner or just want to improve there is a first rate coaching programme on offer. Group lessons and team training organised by PCA Master coach Ian Campbell. Adults can also join Cardio Tennis session. For the Junior there is also a popular tennis programme catering for children from 4 years old and upwards.
Competitive Tennis
The club enjoys it’s match play! There’s teams in the West of Scotland Tennis Leagues and in other inter-club tournaments. As well as a club singles mini-leagues each month. And as a result, if you’re looking for more match play, then the club offers a range.
Membership
If you only want access to the tennis facilities at Western Health and Racquets Club then 6 different membership types are available. However, if you also want to be able to use the gym and squash courts, then there a 8 membership types on offer. And while the club does charge a joining fee, you can pay fees either as a one off amount or monthly payments.
Extras
Caffé Parma, the club’s cafe has plenty of room for you to relax in after playing a few games. The outlet also has a large outdoor seating area overlooking tennis courts!
