West Heath Lawn Tennis Club
West Heath Lawn Tennis Club is a friendly and welcoming tennis club. The club holds large range of social and competitive activities. And with real grass courts as well as hard tennis courts, West Heath is unique.
Social Play
On Saturday and Sunday afternoons there is social tennis for all members. There is also social tennis on Tuesday evenings throughout the summer. Members also have access to the courts for their own games outside the club’s programme. Although the hard courts are used most afternoons in term times by St Margaret’s School.
Coaching
Michal Forys, the club’s coach is on hand to help you improve your game. He offers private lessons to members and non-members.
Competitive Tennis
In terms of club match play, the annual Club Tournament takes place over two weeks in July. And the club is renowned for its Gourmet Dinners Week during the Club Tournament, which culminates on Finals Day with an evening barbecue. There are also American tournaments throughout the year.
Membership
If you’re interested in joining West Heath Lawn Tennis Club then you should arrange a short play-in session. Due to the small number of courts, the club is unable to accept beginners, however, you can still take lessons with the club coach. While there is a small joining fee, subscription costs are affordable.
