South Devon Tennis Centre
South Devon Tennis Centre is home to one of the best indoor facilities in the country. The fully insulated roof keeps the courts both cool in summer and warm in winter. In addition to these excellent facilities, there are also four floodlit outdoor tennis courts.
Social Play
As the centre is open 7 days a week, it’s easy to get on court for a game or two. Both Members and Visitors can book courts in person or by calling the club. Plus, each week members meet for a range of club sessions, including Tuesday nights and Wednesday mornings. As well as on Friday mornings and evenings.
Coaching
Incorporated within the club there is an extensive coaching programme run by Ivybridge Tennis Academy. Paul Butcher and his coaching team, offer a comprehensive programme of coaching opportunities for adults as well as children. From individual tuition to group classes for all standards of player.
Established in 1985 the tennisMAD Junior Academy Programme operates out of a number of venues in the South West, including South Devon Tennis Centre. Offering term time training and holiday camps, the team provide year round tennis coaching for players of all levels aged 2 to 18 years.
Competitive Tennis
The club regularly hosts tournaments for all ages and standards. In terms of internal competitions, there is a single box league as well as an annual club championships. Teams are also active in Plymouth & District Summer League, and South Devon Summer and Winter Tennis Leagues. The club is the venue for the annual Devon County Junior Championships in August.

While courts are able on pay and play, membership offers many benefits. And because you can spread the cost over the year, membership is affordable for all. You can choose from five different membership types at South Devon Tennis Centre , which cater to all ages and requirements.
