Royal Ascot Tennis Club
Established in 1906, The Royal Ascot Tennis Club has a long rich history. The initial courts were built on the Ascot Racecourse and the club shared a pavilion with the cricket club. Both clubs were tenants of the Royal Ascot Authority and the Clerk to the Course was the president of the club up until comparatively recent times.
Today, the Club is a non-profit club and therefore relies heavily upon it’s volunteers.
Social Play
Three Social Club sessions make up the core of the weekly programme and run throughout the year. These sessions held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and on Sunday afternoons. All members are welcome to come along and mix in.
Coaching
Royal Ascot is passionate about offering excellent quality and affordable coaching programmes that encourages players whatever their age or ability. Sessions are energetic and fun and allow players to reach their maximum potential.
There’s also a very active mini and juniors tennis programmes for children between the ages of 5-16 that caters for complete beginners, through to experienced tournament players.
Competitive Tennis
A full range of competitive tennis is available. Teams compete in local Berkshire LTA Leagues and AEGON Leagues. The Club’s Unisex Box Leagues is open to all adult members. Also, there is an internal club championships during the summer. As well as mixed handicap events in the Spring and Autumn.
Membership
Royal Ascot Tennis Club offers a selection of Membership Packages. Options include adult, daytime only, junior as well as family. There is a joining fee. However, for a limited time, it has been waived.
