Roe Green Tennis Club
Founded in 1924, Roe Green Tennis Club is a small, friendly club in a picturesque rural setting, just a short distance from Manchester. The club operates an exciting full calendar of tennis and social activities.
Social Play
The club’s regular social tennis sessions ensure everyone can enjoy playing tennis. Not only that but these sessions are a great way to meet new people. If courts are free, then members are able to use them along as there is no arranged activity taking place.
Coaching
Every summer the club runs a very popular coaching programme on Thursday evenings for juniors. A LTA qualified coach is change and runs three aged based groups. Unfortunately the club doesn’t offer any adult coaching, however members are always willing to give you some pointers!
Competitive Tennis
The club is active in local competitions with six teams in three local leagues including the Leigh, Bolton, and Walkden leagues. Juniors teams are also active in the Bolton Junior League.
Membership
Four types of membership are available at Roe Green Tennis Club, all are affordable. For example, adult membership costs just under £2 per week. And so it’s worth joining the club. If you’re interested, then you’re welcome to join a social play session with no obligations.
