Raphael Park Tennis Club
Raphael Park Tennis Club is based in the picturesque setting of Raphael Park, Romford. The club has 12 all weather courts as well as a small clubhouse.
At one end of the courts is the recently refurbished childrens’ playground, and alongside the courts is a large open parkland. So, there’s plenty todo if tennis isn’t for you!
Social Play
The Club has an active calendar with day, evening and weekend sessions. You can come alone or bring a partner as all mix-in. Court and equipment hire is available to members and to the general public.
Coaching
Coaching is available for both juniors and adults with qualified coaches. Beginner and improver squads run continuously throughout the year. Also, individual lessons are available with the coaches.
Competitive Tennis
If competition is your thing then the club has teams in a number of the Essex and local summer and winter leagues, for mens, ladies and mixed doubles.
As part of the Tennis Foundation e-park initiative, local box leagues and match play competition are also available.
Membership
There are no membership or joining fees, just turn up and play, by either hiring a court or joining in one of the social sessions. If you don’t have equipment, don’t worry as the club has some spares which you’re welcome to use.
