Penwortham Lawn Tennis Club
Penwortham Lawn Tennis Club was founded in 1923 on its original site at Manor Lane in Penwortham. The club originally had four red shale tennis courts and a wooden Pavilion. In 2004, the Club relocated to a new state-of-the-art facility at Blackhurst Avenue in Hutton.
Social Play
There’s three weekly turn-up and mix in sessions, which are open to all members. These social tennis events are on Wednesday evening, Saturday afternoon and Sunday evening. So you have plenty of options each week.
Coaching
Lincoln Banister, the club’s professional coach offers coaching to both adult and junior members. He is a Level 2 LTA CCA Coach and has many years of coaching experience working in clubs and schools, with all ages and abilities both in groups and individually.
Competitive Tennis
If you’re looking for more competitive match play, then join a team. The club is active with teams in the Ribbie League and Fylde League. And as a result, there are opportunities for all who want to play competitively.
Membership
Penwortham Lawn Tennis Club offers something for all tennis enthusiasts in the area and has an open membership policy. And since the fee hasn’t increased in the last few years, there’s never been a better time to join!
