Norfolk County Council Tennis Club
Located in the grounds of County Hall, Norfolk County Council Tennis Club is a friendly group of players of mixed abilities. The club has excellent facilities including outdoor tennis courts, a bowls green, 2 snooker tables, and table tennis. As well as access to a good selection of fishing waters in Norfolk.
The clubhouse features an excellent value bar with an ever-changing selection of real ale and a function room, which is available for hire.
In terms of tennis, both casual and league play are very active, creating an environment for beginners and the more experienced players.
Social Play
Club nights are on Tuesday afternoon. Many members play tennis throughout the year, especially at weekends.
Coaching
Coaching is available, subject to demand, and many players have benefited from tuition.
Competitive Tennis
3 teams compete in the Norwich City Tennis League (2 Mens and 1 Ladies teams). Matches take place on Wednesday and Thursday from May to August. There is an annual club doubles tournament as well as a round robin tournament.
Membership
In order to join Norfolk County Council Tennis Club, you need to work for Norfolk County Council. However, you may still be able to join if you work in partnership with NCC, or for a local authority in Norfolk, or for a school.
