Loughborough Lawn Tennis Club
Loughborough Lawn Tennis Club has a long tradition of providing tennis for players of varying abilities in a friendly atmosphere. The club has been located at Ingle Pingle for over 100 years and therefore is close to both Loughborough town centre and the University. With a range of social and competitive tennis as well as coaching, all will enjoy playing tennis at the club.
Social Play
While the club only has outdoor courts, in winter an air dome covers 2 courts, allowing play to continue all year round. If you prefer a more social game, then there are weekly sessions all year round. And these provide the best introduction to the club. Of course, as a member you can play at anytime as long as the courts aren’t booked.
Coaching
Adult group coaching takes place throughout the week and private one-to-one lessons are also available. The club’s thriving junior section enables children to learn in a safe and fun setting. So no matter your age, help is available to enable you to grow and develop your tennis skills.
Competitive Tennis
If you want to play competitively, there are multiple teams in the Leicestershire double, mixed, winter and veteran leagues. There are also teams in the National Midlands league and the Leicestershire county league. So there are is a variety of opportunities to play competitively at the club.
Membership
Since fees can be paid monthly, joining Loughborough Lawn Tennis Club is affordable for all. Adult membership, for example, starts at £2 per week. And of course, the club offers a range of options which caters to all requirements.
Extras
Since 2013 the club has been the East Midlands hub for promoting wheelchair and learning disability tennis. The courts and clubhouse are all wheelchair accessible. And the club is a training centre for wheelchair and learning disability tennis players.
