Lisburn Racquets Club
The Lisburn Racquets Club is Lisburn’s premier racquet sports club. There are three section to the club and these are Alpha Badminton Club, Hilden Tennis Club and the Lisburn Racquets Squash Club. Each club is well established in their various branches of International and Ulster racquet sports.
Social Play
Adult Club Play for members takes place on Tuesday evenings and on Saturday afternoons. A club coach attends to give informal coaching. There is also a Social Tennis Club on Monday evenings for those adults who are new to tennis or who haven’t played for a while and want to improve their skills before perhaps joining in Club play. Members can book courts at all other times.
Coaching
Whatever your age is, there’s coaching available. From weekly group sessions for the juniors and well as the adults. To private lessons for all ages and standards. Therefore if you’re in need of some advice, help is available.
Competitive Tennis
Hilden Tennis Club competes with several teams in the Belfast and District League. Matches are played throughout the year in the Winter League, Singles League, Mixed League, Evergreen League, and Challenge Trophies. As well as the Summer League, Knock-out Competition, Autumn League and Floodlit League. U14 and U18 boys and girls also represent the Club in the Juvenile League.
Membership
With a wide range of membership, joining Lisburn Racquets Club is simple. There’s currently no joining fees. Plus, you can spread the subscription fees over the year. If you’re planning to use the club for a long time to come, then you can join as a life member! So no matter your age or requirements, there’s a type of membership available for you.
Extras
In addition to the three sports on offer, there is also a modern Fitness Suite. As well as a hall, which is the venue for most of the club’s 5-a-side football and netball. As well as the excellent sporting facilities, Lisburn Racquets Club has a large clubhouse with bar and function room, both of which are available for hire.
