Kingsclere Tennis Club
Formed in 1913, Kingsclere Tennis Club is one of the oldest clubs in Hampshire. The club is very much a ‘village club’ and its aim is to provide tennis for both serious team players, and those wishing to take up the game for the first time. The membership range in age from 5 to over 70 and include many families and juniors.
Members can access the all weather artificial grass courts all year round. Also, there is a strong winter tennis use.
Social Play
Members love social tennis. You can usually find local families and people who have just ‘turned up’ for a ‘hit’ and a little exercise.
Coaching
The club runs group coaching for juniors during the Spring and Summer and ‘one to one’ coaching is also available.
Competitive Tennis
The club’s teams are among the best club teams in the area and compete in both the Newbury and Basingstoke leagues, having won the first division of both men’s leagues in recent years.
Membership
Kingsclere Tennis Club is a private members club run by a volunteer committee on a non-profit basis. The club provides a friendly environment for people to learn and play tennis, from beginners, to top league standard. All of the club’s memberships are affordable and encourage the local community to enjoy tennis!
