Kelso Orchard Tennis Club
Kelso Orchard Tennis Club celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2009. In 2004, the club was voted as Tennis Scotland’s ‘Club of the Year’. 2011 saw the club awarded Tennis Clubmark status. And in 2014, the Kelso Orchard Tennis Club was awarded Club Accreditation by the Borders Sport and Leisure Trust. All of these awards means the club has strong leadership as well as a fantastic programme for all.
The club aims ‘to promote community participation in healthy recreation by provision of facilities for playing tennis at all levels and abilities. Such facilities shall be open to all regardless of sex, race, creed, sexual orientation, age or ability.’
Social Play
There are many different activities available at the Club for all ages and abilities. So whether you want to book a court for your games or are in need of a regular game. At Kelso Orchard Tennis Club, there is always something going on!
Coaching
The large membership of both adults and juniors benefits from coaching, available from a qualified coaching team. There are plenty of options available for coaching including Adult and Junior coaching sessions, Cardio Tennis, Miss-Hits and much more. A key part of the Club is the Youth/Disability Project which aims to help all local kids to start playing and enjoying tennis.
Competitive Tennis
The club has a number of teams in the Adult and Junior Border Leagues. Also a number of club competitions take place throughout the year including the Hastings 14 and under tournament. As well as and the Kelso Civic Week Challenge.
Membership
With a range of available memberships, joining Kelso Orchard Tennis Club couldn’t be simpler. And as a community sports club, fees are very affordable and therefore all are able to join.
