Hythe Lawn Tennis Club
Situated in the Cinque Port town of Hythe in Kent, Hythe Lawn Tennis Club is a friendly non-profit club . Formed in 1889, the club was initial connected to the Hythe Cricket Club. After 57 years, in 1946, the club was separated from the cricket club. And today, is completely independent. As a result, this means the club is reputed to be one of the oldest tennis clubs in the world!
Social Play
Senior members and older juniors are welcome to attend mix-in sessions. These take place on Wednesday evenings, Saturday afternoons and Sunday evenings. Also, you can even book courts for your own games online!
Coaching
The club has a very active coaching scheme in place for children and adults of all ages. Advantage Tennis and Head Coach Nick Skelton run this programme.
Competitive Tennis
Hythe Lawn Tennis Club enters Men’s, Ladies and Mixed teams in leagues across the county. The teams play in the Aegon, East Kent, Kent, Ashford and Dover and District leagues. There are also social tournaments every year including two generation tournaments. As well as Men’s and Ladies Days.
Membership
There a number of membership types available as well as a few discounts. Not sure? How about a one month trial membership?! If you subsequently join, your fee will be reduced by this amount.

Also, there are many social events throughout the year, including Quiz Nights, barbeques, and so much more.
