Horsley Sports Club
Horsley Sports Club is a family oriented tennis and cricket club in the village of East Horsley near Leatherhead. While the club is well established, with a large membership, a third of the members are juniors. And so the club’s exciting tennis programme caters for all ages and abilities.
Social Play
Mutiple social tennis session take place throughout the week, with each session is based on standard to ensure competitive tennis and that everyone has a good time. There are also weekday morning sessions for ladies, at weekends for men and in the evening for mixed sessions.
Coaching
The club has 3 coaches who provide members with private individual lessons or group coaching in club sessions. The coaching team also organise a comprehensive programme of group sessions for juniors including tennis camps and private lessons.
Competitive Tennis
The club enters a number of men’s, ladies and mixed teams into local leagues. The Men’s teams play in the Chaucer League (Woking League in winter), the Mixed teams play in the Woking League and the Ladies teams in various leagues, including Woking, Chaucer and LMTL leagues. Also, the more competitive juniors can play in local Aegon leagues.
In addition to competitive leagues, there are the annual competitions for Men’s Singles, Ladies Singles, Men’s Doubles, Ladies Doubles, Mixed Doubles and Juniors.
Membership
The club operates a waiting list for new members, with applicants usually invited to join in the October following their application, subject to places becoming available. A range of membership options are available. However, Horsley Sports Club does charge a large joining fee on most options.
