Gerrards Cross Lawn Tennis Club
Situated in a quiet area on the Gerrards Cross/Chalfont St Peter borders, Gerrards Cross Lawn Tennis Club has occupied this leafy site since 1908. Gerrards Cross Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club was formed by a few enthusiasts who elected the Reverend J.M. Glubb as Chairman. The club’s grass courts have been played on by legends such as Rod Laver and Bjorn Borg for pre-Wimbledon practice.
Today, Gerrards Cross Lawn Tennis Club has 17 courts and 4 different playing surfaces. As well as a fantastic programme of year round tennis. So, if you’re looking for a new tennis club in Buckinghamshire, consider joining!
Social Play
Members enjoy meeting each week at one of the four club social tennis session. These social mix-in doubles happen on Wednesday evenings, Saturday afternoons and Sundays afternoons. And so there’s plenty of opportunities to play tennis at the club.
Coaching
If you’ve never play before, then you can join Tennis Express, which is an adults beginners’ course. Rusty Racket and Cardio Tennis group session are also available. If you really want to see quick improvement, then coaches are available for one-on-one coaching. Juniors have the chance to join in at multiple sessions each week. As well as exciting camps in the school holidays.
Competitive Tennis
For the more competitive, there are club tournaments and teams compete in The Hatch End Midweek Charity League, the Virgin Autumn League, and in the Thames Valley League. And so whatever your level is, the club offers suitable match play for you!
Membership
With 8 types of membership and a superb programme, Gerrards Cross Lawn Tennis Club is inclusive for all ages and standards. Visitors are welcome to play for a small fee.
