Falcon Bowling and Tennis Club
Located in Edinburgh, Falcon Bowling and Tennis Club welcomes old and new members. Founded in 1998 when local residents stepped up and saved the formerly CEC tennis courts and bowling green. Substantial ongoing investment by the Club into refurbishment of the tennis courts, bowling green and clubhouse provide excellent and unique facilities. And since volunteers manage the club, annual subscription prices are very affordable.
Social Play
Members meet for social tennis three times a week throughout the season. These turn up and mix in session allow all to play regularly. Falcon Club provides Winter Tennis FREE to Members. The weekly Social Tennis continues at the Meadows. Members can easy book courts online for their own use.
Coaching
Tennis coaching is available to all Members age 5-18 and Adults. Wendy McKenzie and Liana Wacławski, organise age-group coaching in the spring and autumn. Groups are provided for Juniors (5-15), Intermediates (16-18) and Adults. However, private lessons are not available.
Competitive Tennis
Both Falcon Adults and Juniors can take part in 2 Club tournaments per year. These include the Falcon Club Tennis Ladder Competition. As well as playing in team who compete in local leagues. Therefore if you’re looking for more match play, Falcon offers a few options.
Membership
As a member of Falcon Bowling and Tennis Club, you can use both the bowling and tennis facilities. And as adult membership costs under £2 per week, joining the club is affordable. A number of membership classes are available and help to cater to all ages. As the club is run by a committee of volunteers, membership fees continue to be very affordable.
Extras
As a community club, the members enjoy meeting socially throughout the year. And if you don’t fancy playing sports but would like to get involved with the social events. Then the club offers specific membership for you!
