Elstead Village Tennis Club
Formed in 1989, Elstead Village Tennis Club started with just two courts and no clubhouse facility. The club prides itself on its wide range of players with different levels of ability with an age range of 3 – 80. From those who like to stay active by playing socially, up to people who enjoy playing league tennis.
Set in a rural recreation ground, the club is a great place to play tennis. There’s also a safe play area for small children and outdoor table tennis.
Social Play
While it’s easy to book a court for your own games, you’ll enjoy playing at the weekly social sessions. Not only are theses a fantastic way to stay active and playing tennis, but they are a great way to make friends.
Coaching
The club’s vibrant junior tennis section with children from 3-16 benefit from well run tennis courses all through the year. The children at the club have the opportunity to participate in after school coaching sessions, performance programmes, with courses and tournaments in the holidays. For the adults, individual and small group lessons at the weekends.
Competitive Tennis
Men’s, Ladies and Mixed Teams compete in the ADLTA local league, Aegon Surrey and the Chaucer leagues. For the juniors there are many opportunities to play in teams from under 8’s to under 16’s.
Membership
While Elstead Village Tennis Club does charge a joining, rates are affordable. Adult membership, for example, cost around £1.50 per week. And of course, other membership types are available.
