Edinburgh Sports Club
Edinburgh Sports Club is a thriving club in the heart of Edinburgh’s west end. The club is hidden away on an island in the middle of the Water of Leith World Heritage site. Along side floodlit tennis courts, the excellent facilities include Squash courts, Padel courts and a Hardball Doubles court.
The club offers a wide range of tennis activities, whether you are just starting out or want to play competitive tennis against other clubs.
Social Play
While there is plenty of free court available to members, the club meets in the summer on a Friday evening for social tennis. So, whether you want to join a regular club session or book a court for your own game, you can!
Coaching
A full programme of coaching is available. There are a range of junior tennis classes, which encourage all to enjoy playing tennis while learning the basis. For adults there is weekly Cardio Tennis as well as group technique and tactics classes. The highly qualified coaching team also offer individual lessons.
Competitive Tennis
For the more competitive, Men’s and Ladies teams compete in the East of Scotland Lawn Tennis Association Leagues. Teams compete in both the Summer and Winter Leagues. There are also a number of club tournaments and team events for players who want to play in a more competitive environment.
Membership
With no joining or court fees, and a wide range of membership options, Edinburgh Sports Club caters to all. And since the club offers packages on either a pay monthly or as a single annual fee, there’s even more reasons to join.
Extras
The clubhouse feature a first class Table-Tennis facility, Snooker, and a Gym. The club’s bar and restaurant are a great place to relax and have a bite to eat or a drink. It’s also the venue for a range of social events including regular quiz nights, Currie nights, and so much more.
