Drummond Tennis Club
Tucked behind Scotland Street, in the centre of Edinburgh, Drummond Tennis Club offers a great location and facilities. There is regular social tennis, coaching for adults and children as well as the opportunity to play in the East of Scotland leagues. So, whether you want to improve your game or challenge yourself, the club offers tennis for all levels.
Social Play
There is a vibrant social calendar at the club, both on the court and off. On the courts, there are club nights every Wednesday and Friday during the season. Members are welcome to book courts of their own use in the season. You can even book online!
Coaching
Coaching at Drummond Tennis Club is looked after by Sophie Blake. Sophie is a fully qualified (level 3) coach working within schools in Edinburgh. She also coaches part time at the David Lloyd Newhaven. At Drummond, she runs a fun and energetic adult and children’s coaching programme covering all ages and abilities.
Competitive Tennis
There’s a range of match play available Drummond Tennis Club. Two ladies and three mens teams playing in the LTA’s Dunlop East of Scotland leagues. Internally, several box leagues take place each year. Theses are open to all members and are a great opportunity to play competitive matches against opponents of a similar standard. The highlight of the club’s calender is the Drummond Annual Tournament, which runs for six weeks from the beginning of August. So regardless of your standard, the club offers a range of competitive tennis.
Membership
Drummond Tennis Club offers outstanding value for players of all standards and ages. If you are interested in joining, then you are welcome to visit the club first. Membership is also open those who don’t play tennis but would like to join in with social events.
Extras
As an active and fun social club, Drummond Tennis Club runs non-tennis social events all year for all age groups.
