Chipperfield Tennis Club
Chipperfield Tennis Club is a small, friendly village tennis club situated on the edge of Chipperfield Common in Hertfordshire. The original village tennis court was part of the social club and facilities given to the men and women of Chipperfield by Samual and Elizabeth Blackwell in memory of their two sons, both of whom perished in the First World War.
The club run by a dedicated team of volunteers as a non profit organisation purely to promote tennis within the local area. Members are friendly and so all are welcome to join the club and enjoy playing tennis in beautiful surroundings.
Social Play
Players of all standards are welcome and can enjoy social tennis in a picturesque surrounding on superbly maintained courts. And members enjoy playing throughout the year.
Coaching
Individual coaching is available and group coaching sessions for children over a ten week period in early summer.
Competitive Tennis
The club holds various doubles competitions as well as a singles ladder. So if you’re looking for a challenge, there’s plenty available!
Membership
There are a number of membership options at Chipperfield Tennis Club and there is a strong emphasis on encouraging family membership. Joining is affordable, since membership rates are probably the most competitive in the country. Non members are welcome to use the courts for a small fee, if not already in use.
