Chichester Racquets and Fitness Club
Established in 1964, Chichester Racquets and Fitness Club has an excellent reputation for the promotion of tennis, squash and fitness. Set in the heart of the historic city of Chichester, the club has exceptional views over rolling parkland. The Club is dedicated to providing high level sports and fitness facilities in a modern environment.
You discover that Chichester Racquets and Fitness Club has a relaxed, warm and friendly atmosphere. While the club only has outdoor courts, play doesn’t stop in the colder months as 3 are covered in winter under a air dome.
Social Play
The five weekly club sessions are very friendly and open to all standards of play. There are three general turn up and mix in session each week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings as well as on Saturday afternoons. Ladies meet on Wednesday mornings. Whereas the Men’s morning take place on Sundays.
Coaching
As the home of The Chichester Tennis Academy, the club is incredibly fortunate to have a enthusiastic team of LTA licensed coaches. And as a result, the coaching programm on offer is extensive and caters for all ages and abilities. So, whether you enjoy tennis recreationally or are looking to play competitively in tournaments, you can benefit from the available coaching.
Competitive Tennis
If you want to play more competitively then Chichester Racquets and Fitness Club offers a wide range of opportunities. 19 teams compete in the Sussex & Hampshire Leagues including Men’s, Ladies, Mixed, Veterans and Juniors. In addition various Open and Fun Tournaments take place throughout the year.
Membership
While courts are available on a pay and play basis, a number of membership options are available. There is a joining fee for some categories. However, you can pay fees monthly and there are some discounts available including for families.
Extras
Chichester Racquets and Fitness Club has a superb bar and restaurant, perfect for relaxing after a match. As a social club, many non-sport events take place each year.
