Cambridge Lawn Tennis Club
Cambridge Lawn Tennis Club is a community-based not-for-profit club, which is committed to making tennis available to all ages, abilities and social groups in and around the Cambridge area. The Club was 2015 Cambridgeshire LTA Club of the Year. As well as winning the Highland Spring award for Regional club of the year in the AEGON British Tennis awards 2015. Also the club is one of the first in the Eastern region to achieve Tennis Mark.
Social Play
As the largest club in Cambridgeshire, there are a number of turn up and play session each week. These well attended session provide the chance for all to play tennis is a friendly setting. Of course, you can also book a court and organize your own game.
Coaching
Cambridge Lawn Tennis Club runs an extensive coaching programme. The club places great emphasis on junior tennis, enabling players to develop their full potential through a performance coaching route. Adults benefit from a range of group courses which take place throughout the year. So, if you’re looking to improve, then the team is here to help.
Competitive Tennis
If you’re looking for a range of match play, then this is the club for you! In addition to a wide range of club tournaments, the club has the largest number of league teams in the county. So, regardless of your age or ability you will have the chance to play some competitive tennis.
Membership
Since there are no playing in test or joining fees, becoming a member is easy. Simply choose from the seven membership types and fill out the online form.
Extras
The clubhouse is welcoming and comfortable. Members can often been found in the bar or purchasing equipment in the pro shop. Away from the courts, the club has a great social scene with regular events including Quiz nights, Salsa dancing, and even Murder Mystery evenings!
