Burton Tennis and Squash Club

The Burton Tennis and Squash Club is an independent members club run by a voluntary committee. Established in the 1920s, the club has a rich history which still continues. With some of the finest squash and tennis facilities in the area, members will enjoy playing at the club.

 

The club’s Tennis facilities were newly re-built in 2004. In 2016 the tennis courts’ surfaces were cleaned and repainted in the Wimbledon colours of purple and green.

 

Social Play

The two social tennis session each week take place on Tuesday evenings and on Sunday mornings. These events allow member to turn up and play in a friendly yet competitive environment. Courts are available to member and there is a bookings sheet in the clubhouse.

 

Coaching

A highly qualified coaching team run an extensive programme. There is individual coaching available for any age or ability. Group sessions are also available with specific strands for all ages from 3 years old to juniors and adults. Cardio Tennis is also available for adults.

 

Competitive Tennis

Since the club offers many competitive opportunities, tennis players of all standards can enjoy match play. Teams compete in a range of local and national competitions each year. Also the club operates internal ladder leagues and knockout tournaments throughout the year.

 

Membership

With affordable membership fees and quick application, joining Burton Tennis and Squash Club is easy. The club offers a range of membership options as well as payment terms. Therefore the benefits of joining far out weigh the cost of joining.

 

Extras

The clubhouse features a CAMRA award-winning bar. Members have the use of pool and table tennis tables as well as a giant TV screen.
