Billingshurst Tennis Club
Formed in 1963, Billingshurst Tennis Club, offers a warm, social and friendly environment. Recognised for high standard, the club holds Tennismark accreditation. New members and guests of all ages and standards are always welcome.
Social Play
If you’re looking for social tennis, then the two weekly sessions enable you play regularly. Held on Wednesday and Friday evenings and all members are invited to come along and join in.
Coaching
Coaching is provided by Nigel Matthews and his team. Nigel has been coaching for 14 years and was LTA Sussex Coach of the Year 2015. The coaching programme includes group sessions, individual coaching and Rusty Rackets sessions. As well as an active Junior section, with regular social and coaching sessions. Also, Junior Holiday Camps are held throughout the year and provide a fun way for children to learn tennis.
Competitive Tennis
For those of a more competitive nature, the Club enters several Ladies, Men’s and Mixed teams in both summer and winter Tennis Sussex Leagues. There’s also a box league, which runs all year round. however, the highlight of the club calendar has to be the annual club championships which caters for all standards and ages.
Membership
With some of the lowest membership fees in the country, Billingshurst Tennis Club offers a range of packages designed to cater to all ages. There’s no joining fees.
Extras
A number of social events take place throughout the year including timed tennis events, quiz evenings, family days.
