Beechwood Lawn Tennis Club
Beechwood Lawn Tennis Club was originally formed as the Earlsdon Tennis Club in 1886. Later the club changed it’s name to Beechwood Lawn Tennis Club and has been located on its present site for over 40 years ago. As proof of high standards and strong leadership, Beechwood holds an LTA Clubmark award. There is an active programme for all ages and standard on offer at the club. So, if you’re looking for some coaching or more match play then Beechwood Lawn Tennis Club offers all this and more.
Social Play
The club hosts regular social tennis sessions, which enable members to turn up and mix in. The relaxed environment of these sessions, enables members to play tennis, while meeting new members and working on their game play. Courts are also easy to book for member’s own games.
Coaching
Local company inspire2coach, run the club’s coaching programme. A range of lessons are available from six-week courses, one off clinics and individual lessons. All ages and standard are welcome to take part in the coaching. The programme is just as good for junior members, who enjoy regular fun group sessions. Beechwood offer children holiday camps each school holidays.
Competitive Tennis
Each year Beechwood Lawn Tennis Club hosts a number of competitions, which are open to members of all ages and standards. In terms of league play, Mens and Ladies teams compete in the Aegon National Club League as well as in the Coventry and District League. Veteran members also have the chance to compete in both League and knock out competitions.
Membership
New members start with an informal introduction. This is where the club’s coach will help you to find the right weekly sessions for your ability and can also advise on coaching. Following this, members are on hand in the bar to answer any questions about the club.
Extras
Off court, there are regular social events. As well as 3 club table tennis teams which compete in the Coventry and District League.
