Abercorn Sports Club

Located at the east side of Edinburgh, Abercorn Sports Club is a small friendly sports club. Both tennis and squash are available at the club. Whatever your playing standard, you’ll find a game, whether it’s playing socially, playing in the tennis ladders or competing in the East of Scotland leagues. If you are a beginner or are returning to the game and are a bit rusty, the club coaches provide a range of coaching activities, both individual and group.

 

Social Play

Every Saturday afternoons and Wednesday evenings are club sessions, which allow members to come along and play with other members. These are turn up and play session and open to all standards. In addition the club runs a number of social tournaments throughout the year.

 

Coaching

The club’s head coach, Graeme Soutar is assisted by Robin Burns and Calum Meston. They run our Coaching Programme for juniors and adults as well as Cardio Tennis for those who want to combine tennis with cardio exercise. Junior holiday camps are also take place throughout the year.

 

Competitive Tennis

3 mens teams and 1 ladies teams are active in the East of Scotland Summer Leagues. The teams also play in various other competitions throughout the year including the Winter and Vets Leagues. And as a result, the club is always on the look out for players who enjoy competitive play.

 

Membership

If you are interested in joining, you’re welcome to visit the facilities. When you’re ready to join Abercorn Sports Club, then the club offers a number of memberships. As well as being able to pay a lump sum there is an option to pay monthly.

 

Extras

In addition to great sporting facilities, Abercorn Sports Club has a friendly bar and function room with viewing gallery. Perfect for relaxing after a game or joining in with the social aspect of the club.
