Bridgend Tennis Squash and Bowls Club
Bridgend Tennis Squash and Bowls Club was established in 1914. Tucked away in a beautiful location at the edge of Newbridge Fields on the bank of the River Ogmore, yet just a short walk from the town centre. Bridgend Tennis Club is the heart of Tennis in Bridgend County Borough.
Social Play
If you’re looking for a varied social tennis programme, then Bridgend offers a number of weekly session throughout the year. Sessions on Friday evenings and Sunday morning are open to all and allow players to turn up and mix in. Rusty Rackets on Wednesday and Friday mornings enable those who are looking to get back into tennis, a way to play while building confidence. Ladies meet on a Thursday evening. Finally, Cardio Tennis take place on Wednesday evenings.
Coaching
Stephen Richards., the club’s professional tennis coach is on hand to help you with your game. He runs a range of group coaching throughout the year for adults and juniors. Also Stephen is available for private lessons. So if you’re looking to improve your backhand or game play, consider joining the club’s coaching programme.
Competitive Tennis
If you’re looking for a fantastic range of competitive tennis then Bridgend Tennis Squash and Bowls Club is for you. There are teams competing in both Summer and Winter South Wales Tennis Leagues. As well as a number of club tournaments.
Membership
A number of membership options are available at Bridgend Tennis Squash and Bowls Club. However, the club does a small joining fee. Uniquely Adult Tennis membership also includes Squash and Bowls.
Extras
The club hosts an exciting range of social events including live entertainment, BBQ, 24 hour tennis and more! In addition the facilities can be hired for your own events.
