Pythouse Club
Pythouse Club was originally built by the Bennets, owners of magnificent Pythouse, for the use of visiting cricket teams. Over time and several generations, Pythouse Club evolved into a place for local families to swim, play tennis, cricket and squash and enjoy the outdoors in the quiet beautiful countryside.
Social Play
There’s Social Tennis for adults of all abilities on Tuesday and Friday evenings. Plus the bar is always open on a Friday after the session! There’s also a social session on Saturday afternoons, throughout the year. Of course, you can also book a court for your own games and can do so online!
Coaching
Professional tennis coaching is available at the Club from Ben Sherlock. He is well qualified to coach members. Whether they are beginners, players returning after a break, or more expert players looking for advice on particular techniques or just wishing to improve their game.
Competitive Tennis
For the more competitive, there are teams in both the Sarum and Shaftesbury Leagues. Teams are active in summer and winter competitions. So if you’re looking for more competitive play, a range is available.
Membership
Tennis membership or social membership is now available. Many current members have used the Pythouse Club themselves as children and so are delighted to be able to bring their own children to play. Rates are affordable and the club offers a few different membership packages.
