Camvale Tennis Club
Located in Paulton, near Bristol, Camvale Tennis Club is a small community sports club. Originally established as Purnells Tennis Club in 1947. In 1992, the club was renamed Camvale Tennis Club. The club attracts members of all ages from nearby villages including Midsomer Norton and Radstock.
Social Play
Whether you are looking for court time for your own games or regular club events, Camvale Tennis Club offers both. There are three weekly social tennis session which enable members to turn up and mix in. Courts can be easily book using the diary in the clubhouse.
Coaching
Juniors benefit from a range of coaching. From LTA mini tennis which uses smaller courts and equipment to inspire children as young as 4. To normal sized courts and balls for those in their late teens. Junior coaching is available to both members and non-members on a pay as you go basis. Also there is beginners adult coaching on a Friday morning.
Competitive Tennis
Men’s, Ladies and Mixed adult teams compete in summer and winter Avon County Leagues. Many of the club’s up and coming younger players participate in local and regional competitions, including in the Aegon Avon League. And as a result the club is always on the look out for more competitive tennis players.
Membership
The Club warmly welcomes all local people who would like to play tennis in a friendly and sociable environment. While the club does charge a small joining fee, membership rates are very affordable. In addition, 2 month taster membership is also available.
Extras
Awarded Tennis Clubmark status in 2009, Camvale is therefore recognised for it’s strong management and excellent programme. Since 2002, the club has also been LTA Avon – County Performance Club Accredited.
