Blackhall Lawn Tennis Club
Established in 1915, Blackhall Lawn Tennis Club has been based in the heart of Blackhall for 102 years. The club was the first club in Edinburgh to boast three artificial clay courts.
Social Play
If your preference is to play social tennis, then there are sessions at weekends. And with plenty of free court time. You’ll never be short of a game or two.
Coaching
The club runs tennis coaching courses during the school holidays which are open to all. Individual and squad tennis coaching lessons also take place on a regular basis. Blackhall has a hugely successful junior section, thanks to the skills of the recently retired head coach Brian Barnet. With Brian’s recent departure, Ian McKinlay a highly experienced coach has taken over.
Competitive Tennis
If you’re looking challenging tennis then the club fields 4 mens and 2 ladies teams in the East of Scotland Leagues. Junior teams are also active in local competitions. If you’re not quite up to league standards, then a number of club tournaments take place in the summer.
Membership
Blackhall Lawn Tennis Club offers great value tennis with an adult membership working out at just over £3 per week for all year round tennis. And of course the club offers a range of affordable memberships, catering to all types of tennis players.
