Allt-yr-yn Lawn Tennis Club
Allt-yr-yn Lawn Tennis Club holds a LTA Clubmark accreditation. The club’s history dates back to 19245 when Courteney Charles Evan Morgan, 1st Viscount Tredegar OBE sold the land freehold to Newport High School Old Boys’ Association for £200. Inaugurated in 1927 as Newport High School Old Boys’ LTC, it was later renamed to represent a more inclusive image for club and community.
The club today offers a year round programme for all standards, ages and experiences. So if you’re a junior, adult or a family, you’ll enjoy playing tennis at Allt-yr-yn Lawn Tennis Club
Social Play
Members meet weekly for social tennis. These sessions are open to all and enable you to keep playing tennis all year round while meeting new people. Plus with a range of courts, if you want to book one for your own game, it’s easy to do so.
Coaching
The club offers a vibrant coaching programmes for children aged 3+. The coaching programme at Allt-Yr-Yn Tennis Clubs is delivered by Tennis Solutionz, which is headed up by Professional Level 4 Tennis Coach Phil Thomas.
Competitive Tennis
If you’re more competitive, then several teams competing within the South Wales, Gwent and Aegon Leagues. And as a result, the club is always on the look for more competitive tennis players.
Membership
Non-members are always welcome to trial the club. And when you’re ready to join, Allt-yr-yn Lawn Tennis Club offers a range of affordable membership packages.
Extras
After playing at the club you can relax in the bar, which has a large viewing balcony overlooking the courts. Off the courts, there’s a full calendar of social events taking place throughout the year.
