Wakefield Tennis Club
Wakefield Tennis Club is a friendly, long-established tennis club close to the centre of Wakefield, West Yorkshire. A wide range of tennis is available to players of all ages and abilities. The club is based at Wakefield Girls High Schoool, (QEGS Playing Fields) and so is easy to locate.
Social Play
Club social tennis sessions take place on Saturday afternoons and Tuesday evenings. Everyone is welcome to come along and you’ll get a good mix of games with people of differing standards.
Coaching
Tennis coaching is provided by Dwight Brown and Mark Gledhill from Wakefield School Of Tennis. The team are available to coach you on a wide range of topic and either in groups or privately.
Competitive Tennis
Intermediate and advanced players have plenty of opportunities to represent the club as part of a competitive team. Currently, two mixed teams in the Wakefield and District Tennis League, two mixed teams and one mens team in the Barkston Ash Tennis League. As well as two mens teams in the Leeds Tennis League. In the winter the club’s team participate in the indoor Leeds Winter League.
Membership
There are a number of ways in which you can become a member of Wakefield Tennis Club. However, the best way is to visit a social session and then buy a one month trial. If you still want to become a member, then you can take advantage of new members discounts.
