Grange Dyvours Lawn Tennis Club
Grange Dyvours Lawn Tennis Club is Edinburgh’s oldest tennis club. And is the only club in Scotland with 4 grass tennis courts. It is popular with players of all standards, who enjoy unique facilities at this friendly and sociable club. As part of The Grange Club, members have access to a wide range of sports and social opportunities.
Social Play
Social tennis takes place throughout the year on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons. Wednesday social tennis also takes place from mid July after the league matches. All of these sessions are a fantastic way to play tennis regularly and meet new people.
A number of social tournaments also take place on the first Sunday every month during the grass court season (May to September). As well as on occasional Sundays during the rest of the year.
Coaching
David Gibson, an LTA Development Coach is available to coach juniors or adults. For the juniors, David runs weekly term time coaching sessions as well as camps in the school holidays.
Competitive Tennis
The Club Championships take place each year from mid July to the last Saturday in August. Throughout the year Grange Dyvours competes in Tennis Leagues with both a Singles and Doubles format. The Club participates in East of Scotland Leagues, Scottish Cup and Summer Social Leagues. Junior teams entered in the Aegon East of Scotland Junior Leagues.
Membership
As part of the Grange Sports Club, which offers multiple sports, you can select to join Grange Dyvours Lawn Tennis Club in a range of ways. If you simply want to play tennis, then a number of options are available, catering to all ages. However, if you wish to play tennis and Hockey, then you can select a suitable membership options. Fees can be paid monthly via direct debit, enabling you to spread the cost.
Extras
As a very social club, members can often be found in the bar catching up over a drink. The club also runs a range of social events each year including quiz nights, BBQs, occasional themed nights and so much more!
